We like to play with words. TheRightEyedDeer literary ezine is an offshoot of The Write Idea, an international writers' forum.

Things are a-buzzing around The Deer - and we don't mean the deerfly!
Poetry editor Mandy Pannett has signed a publishing contract for her next book of poetry, ' All the Invisibles'. It will be published by Sentinel Poetry in October 2012. Congratulations, Mandy!
In other news, The RightEyedDeer Press has launched its first collection of poetry, with talented Canadian poet, E. Russell Smith - a frequent contributor to the magazine - launching his book 'Petroglyph Beach' to great reviews at readings held in Toronto and Ottawa. You can find it at The RightEyedDeer storefront on Lulu, as well as through all the major distributors. The ebook version will follow shortly.

And the details of the fifth annual Whittaker Prize for Fiction and Poetry are now out. Check them on 'The Write Idea' page.
