Submission guidelines
Issue Nine of The RightEyedDeer is underway and open to submissions.
But first ... you must become a member of The Write Idea forum. Visit the forum here and click on Register. We're pretty friendly over there and joining is free.
Then, send your submission as a .doc attachment to therighteyeddeer (at) gmail.com.
We’re looking forward to receiving some fine work. There is no theme, it's open season!
A mixture of genres within your submissions is fine, if that’s what you prefer. Feel free to send short stories, micro fiction, non fiction, poetry etc etc. Previously unpublished work please. Totally open to experienced or new writers. No more than four pieces to be submitted per author.
For formatting purposes, The Deer is relatively easy. We prefer 12pt in a legible font, single spacing, a line break between paragraphs, an indent at the start of a paragraph. Submissions either in the text of the email, or an attached .doc file. The content is far, far more important!
A short list will be drawn up of all work submitted. This will be reviewed by our staff and the best will be chosen for inclusion in Issue Nine.
Proofread your work carefully. We get itchy when we see lots of spelling mistakes and punctuation errors. Don't give the deer fleas, please.
TheRightEyedDeer doesn't pay. Yet.
